陶芸家 穴山大輔と画家 穴山文香により2013年に愛知県瀬戸市で設立。
古き良きものから学び、習い、それを超えて時代に残ることを目指しています。
企画、ろくろや型による成形、釉薬は大輔が、デザインや加飾は文香が担当し、一貫したものづくりに取り組んでいます。
Founded in 2013 in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture by ceramic artist Daisuke Anayama and painter Fumika Anayama.
Their goal is to learn from and learn from the good old things, and to transcend them to remain relevant to the times.
Daisuke is in charge of planning, molding with wheel and mold, and glazing, while Fumika is in charge of design and decoration.

Born in Tochigi Pref. Tohoku Art & Design university graduation. He traveled to Fujian Province, China, one of the origin of pottery, to study the kiln sites.
Fumika Anayama painter/sculptor
Born in Aichi Pref. After graduating from Kobe Gakuin University, worked as a painter. After getting married, she began to explore painting in the field of ceramics.

翠窯は2023年に開窯10年を迎え、SUIYOへとリニューアルしました。
これまでの10年は「古き良きものを、現代の食卓に」をコンセプトに、暮らしの中や食卓の上で活かされるものづくりに注力してきました。
これからの10年は「Beyond the classic」にコンセプトを一新し、自分たちの焼き物の解釈を広げ、産地に還元しながら、培ってきた技術を基盤に更に自由なものづくりに挑戦していきます。
古典を学び、未来に残ることを見据え、イメージ・ジャンル・国境・歴史、そしてこれまでの自分達を「超える」という気持ちで臨みます。
In 2023, SUIYOU will celebrate 10 years since the opening of the kiln, and we have renewed our name to SUIYO.
For the past 10 years, we have focused on making things that can be used in daily life and on the dining table based on the concept of "bringing the good old things to the modern dining table.
For the next 10 years, we will renew our concept to "Beyond the classic," expand our interpretation of our own pottery, and challenge ourselves to create even more freely based on the techniques we have cultivated while giving back to the production areas.
We will study the classics, and with an eye on what will remain in the future, we will "go beyond" images, genres, borders, and history, as well as our own past.
Origin of the name
翠窯という名前は、翡翠に由来します。
翡翠は古代中国では他のどの宝石よりも高貴なものとされていました。
また中国官窯への強い憧れから、汝窯・定窯に並ぶような窯元になるという壮大な夢もこの名前には込められています。
The name SUIYO comes from the word jade.
Jade was considered more precious than any other gemstone in ancient China.
We have a strong admiration for Chinese official kilns, and our name also reflects our grand dream of becoming a pottery manufacturer on par with Ding-yao and Ru-yao.

2015-20年 「テーブルウェアフェスティバル」(東京ドーム)出展
2017年 中川政七商店と食器の共同開発
2017-2019年 都内に実店舗「SUIYOU TOKYO」をオープン
2018年 UNIQLO 名古屋店とコラボレーション 展示・WS開催
2020年 コロナ禍突入直後の緊急非常事態宣言中に、窯業学生に向けて「コネル陶芸大学」と称したオンライン授業を毎日配信
2021-22年 やきものの産地である瀬戸市の一大イベント「せともの祭」が中止された二年間、有志のメンバーと共に町歩きイベント「せとひとめぐり」を主催。翌年、サントリー地域文化賞を受賞

2020 Daily online classes called "Connell Ceramics University" for ceramic students during the state of emergency declared immediately after the Corona disaster
2021-22: Organized "Seto Hito Meguri," a town-walking event with volunteer members during the two years that Seto City, a major pottery production center, cancelled its Seto Festival. The following year, the event received the Suntory Prize for Regional Culture.
